Baptism
What is baptism?
Jesus came up with a fantastic way to show the dramatic difference he makes in people’s lives. It is called baptism. This is a brief submersion of individuals in water who have had their lives turned around as they put their trust in Jesus and began to follow His lead and live the lifestyle he modelled. The symbolism includes the submersion, representing the end of an old way of life living without Jesus, followed by and a coming up out of the water to live a new life with and for Him.
Is baptism right for me?
If you have put your faith in Jesus, accepting His forgiveness for your old way of life when you excluded Him, and now have decided to live your life according to his example, then you’re at the point you can choose to be baptized. Jesus would say it is the right thing to do. When you are baptized as a believer you not only are obeying Jesus’ instruction to be baptized, but also are associating yourself with all followers of Jesus world-wide who have been and will be baptized as believers also.I want to be baptized.
